Unwind A Little

Taking a week off from this cold and mundane city of Moscow is definitely worth it. It's so nice to unwind a little, breaking off to being a tourist and not a student for a change, even if it's just for a week.

Just a teaser to where I travelled to, :)
Just so you know, I am not much of a fan of travelling.

Travelling, is hardd. Like super-friggin-memeningkan kepala punye hard.

It's a very challenging process, which drains and sucks out your energy to make you always feel anxious and wanna pee all the time :(

You must have all skills in your pocket if you wanted to travel.

Everything has to be polished beforehand. You have to be smart with every single skill; like map-reading skill, communication skill, tolerance skill, adaptability skill, gadget-y skill, planning skill, you name it.

It involves all skills mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. You have to be good, kind and approachable, but don't hesitate to be heartless and cunning at times in need. Clumsiness is a no go, and attentiveness to the details is something you just HAVE to have kot kot mana pun.

And you have to think awfully fast too in case something suddenly went wrong.

As for me, I am mostly terrible in everything. But whether you like it or not, the show must go on once you set your foot the soil which isn't yours. You gotta do what you gotta do since there is no option left than trying to survive, even when its reaching your limit to do so. It is the time where you have to step out from your comfort zone and test your limit as eventually, sooner or later, the time will come too no matter what. Now or never, ready or not...you have to be at your very best when the moment came...

Well, as crazy as it sounds, I did experience the worst in this trip. We could plan all we want but God is still the better planner than us. However, it was still a fun experience though. especially when we managed to pull it through. And at least you got something to remember from your journey.

Alah, this is life. Bad experience, good experience, all are the spices in life, toughen us up for upcoming battles in life.

Lagipun kalau rasa susah hati sebab travel tu susah, ingat ayat ni;
"Dialah yang menjadikan bumi itu mudah bagi kamu, maka berjalanlah di segala penjurunya..."
al-Mulk, 15

So yeah, some comments on what I felt of my '13/14 winter trip. Hopefully the pictures will follow up later on separate posts (if I could make it). I am sorting them out while recovering from jetlag and flu which I caught upon arrival home.

Till then, A.

Winter Trip '12 - Part 2 - Poland (ii)

So this is another continuation post of the story here [click], and we were still in Poland, except this time the pictures are from Krakow. The initial plan was to visit the capitals of each country, but exception was made, we just have to visit Krakow since it is nearer to Hungary, which is our next destination after Poland. It'll be such a waste if we just travel straight from Warsaw to Hungary as it'll be in the same route. So sebab akan lalu jalan yang sama untuk ke Hungary, we all terpaksalah singgah di Krakow sekejap untuk makan angin. Alah alang-alang they say.

Well the pictures are unfortunately not that great since it was still winter-y and gloomy...but please enjoy the pictures nevertheless. As far as I could remember we didn't visit many places much, just to the Krakow's Old Town and places near to it like the Wawel Castle. So...just enjoy the photos lah no?

Again, for better resolution just click on the pictures, and just fyi, the pictures are from my phone camera (boo) and my friend's dlsr (yay).

KRAKOW'S OLD TOWN

Amek gambar dekat city gate guard house/church (?) before entering old town's centre
St. Florian's Gate, salah satu pintu masuk ke Old Town.
The scenery inside, we all nak ke menara kat hujung tu which is the square
Well actually it is a historic site with a lot of souvenir shops and stalls around it, even at the square ada banyak gila stalls yang jual souvenirs. Not to mention there were various street performers there too, entertaining the crowds.

in another angle
and in another angle (again) lol
St. Mary Basilica, one of the building..see how snow made it all muddy?
again experimenting with angles

trying to be quite artistic by taking it this way :D
one of the sculptures there
and we went for some shopping too for souvenirs, ada banyak woody handcrafts here yang so artsy

this is the paveway that leads to the souvenir market :)
inside it, yay its shopping time!
and some posing. well I didnt recall im the one taking this pic haha
So after shopping we wandered around while searching for place to have small brunch. Here are some photos (literally) of us jalan-jalan around the town..well I dont think these are that important, oh well...

random architecture
random statue along the way

12 Apostles statues outside this one church
Inside one random church, look at those glass windows, pretty!
inside one random church, I love the gothic feeling inside here

So thats all about it, and now we're off to the Wawel Castle.

WAWEL CASTLE

Well, Wawel Castle is located on top of a hill, and of course we had to climb the hill to reach there. It was pretty tiring, especially since we had been walking all day around the Old Town, but we managed to reach the castle anyway as we're uhm,...young and healthy and strong? Haha.

This castle is so gorgeous, the scenery is so amazing and it even has this one dragon sculpture that breathes fire, how cool is that! It's legend thingy in Krakow about dragon, sama macam di Warsaw yang juga punya legenda tersendiri, cuma kat Warsaw legend dia pasal ikan duyung laki-laki.

So few itsy bitsy pictures here and there...

the castle from far away, kena naik bukit nak sampai ke atas
buildings along the way to the top :)
okay we're getting closer!!
tada we made it! i honestly dunno what were we doing there at the gate
cepat-cepat kena pose kat gate ni haha
The architecture inside. boo nasyid pose!
in another "perasan artistic" angle
some close up. close up la sangat ahah
And finally it's the fire-breathing dragon sculpture, yay!

see he breathes fireeee, so cool! :))
So with the dragon sculpture picture, I think that's the end of our amazing story in Poland. Well, technically it was not a story, but still...Anyway, I'm so sorry if the way I wrote is so sucky, I just dunno how to write this kind of post. Maybe the next post will be much better, I'll try my best.

So, the next post will be about Budapest, Hungary, and I love love love Budapest, such an amazing city. I seriously can't wait to share and post the pictures!

May peace be upon you, till later everyone :)

Request; Winter trip - Intro

I completely forgot to upload my winter trip's pictures on facebook, padahal i've been specially requested by my dearest friend kot sebab dia nak tengok. It's been like almost a year dah, yet I haven't do anything. Haihs maafla, I completely lupa. Medik student la katakan, busy memanjang hehehe.

So anyway because uploading photos on facebook is way beyond mainstream nowadays, I chose to post them here instead. Lagipun tak terasa macam nak post kan kat facebook lah, sebab most of the photos diambil oleh my friend who is using big DLSR camera, and he already uploaded the album and done all the taggings...so kiranya kalau upload through my account pun rasanya akan jadi repetitive je kan. Buat menyemak laman sesawang orang cakap :P

So to my dearest friend(s) who specially requested this, I'm doing this for you :)

Hmmm, macamana nak start eh?

Okay...firstly, before this hassle-photo-crazed begins, meh nak gitau how I gonna do this. Since the photos are kinda banyak as we went bagpacking to five different countries, they will be splitted into five different posts, this one excluded. Dan memandangkan it's been like almost a year had passed, my memories were kinda rusty. So I am not going to explain in details on what did we do there, where did we visit bla bla bla, it gonna be five posts crammed with lots of pictures and few explanations based on the pictures. Lagipun I know you guys love seeing pictures right?

Just for the information and disclaimers, most of the pictures are dicilok from my friend's camera, my SII's phone camera dan banyak lagi sumber yang orang upload kat facebook. So basically I'm not the photographer lah. Various sources punya. And if somehow I didnt manage to find the pictures, yelah mana tahu ada orang privatekan/block me etc, dalam satu post tu akan ada seket je lah gambarnya. Nak buat macamana kan?

So....here some lil bits of info here and there about my winter trip the other day.

Well we went to five different countries, iaitu Poland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic and Germany. Memandangkan I have said earlier that it was a bagpacking trip, memang we all guna pengangkutan darat merentas negara bermula dari Poland sampai ke Germany. Tapi, untuk first trip ke Poland tu kitorang guna flightlah tapinya, dan balik ke Moscow pun guna flight. Waktu jalan-jalan rentas negara tu je yang guna pengangkutan darat seperti keretapi dan bas.

Duration masa rasanya dalam 3 minggu kalau tak silap, dan we all went cuma to the capital city of each country je, kecuali dua tempat di Poland sebab dari Warsaw nak ke border tu kena singgah dulu di Krakow. Tak kisahlah singgah satu tempat ke, dua tempat ke, as long as we can say that we already visited that country hewhew.

Matlamat utama jalan-jalan ni? Well sebenarnya saja je jalan-jalan, nak tengok beza negara masing-masing. Me personally tak suka sangat melawat negara Eropah sebenarnya apart from its cleanliness dan senang untuk navigate arah kalau sesat, I am more to a cultural-tradition person, tapi alang-alang we already are studying in Europe, apa salahnya merayau di sekitarnya untuk tengok suasana.

Lagipun memang ada banyak beza kot antara lain-lain negara. Jauh perjalanan luas pemandangan orang cakap, and it's an opportunity furthermore, rugi kalau tak grab. Lagipun kita boleh lah observe apa yang bagusnya pasal orang putih yang selalu dibangga-banggakan tu. Yang baik jadikan teladan, yang buruk dijadikan pengajaran, dan yang cantik dijadikan isteri wahaha.

So basically that was it lah, just wait for the pictures in my next post. I'll promise there will be quite a lot (or not)...and some will be posted with my face in it lah jugak unfortunately T_T. Takpelah...demi you yang requested and for others yang mungkin interested. Err...I mean not interested in me, tapi interested on the trip. Tapi kalau interested in me pun boleh jugak :)

So ciao all, till the next post. Later.
